Obituary of Juan Ricardo Martinez Sr.

Juan Ricardo Martinez Sr., 68, was born and raised in San Benito, Texas, on February 23, 1950 and passed away on Friday, March 9, 2018.  He was known for his big heart and brought joy to all those who surrounded him.  He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Tomas and Aurora Golie Martinez.

Juan Ricardo is survived by his children; Roeana (Carlos) of Austin, Texas, Roxanna (Rudy) of Fresno, California, Juan Ricardo (Carol) of San Benito, Texas, Regina (Kevin) of Round Rock, Texas, and Renee (Lee) of Austin, Texas, brothers and sisters; Anita Gargus (John) Henderson of Nevada, Tomas (Eva) Martinez of Harlingen, Texas, Sylvia (Robert) Trejo of Austin, Texas, and Joel (Mary) Martinez of Harlingen, Texas, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Neariah, Cassandra, Catherine, Micah, Joshua Hernandez; Ricardo, Jovan, Moses Gonzalez; Jeremiah Elisha Quintanilla and Kai Barnes; Khamryn Sisourath; Joseph Ray Martinez, Austin Martinez, Isis Martinez, Juan III and Noah Martinez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

Cremation will follow in accordance with the family's wishes.
