Obituary of Joe F. Lozano Sr.

Joe Lozano Sr., 73, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 13, 2018. Born in Michigan to Jesus and Aurora Lozano.

 Mr. Lozano worked as a laborer of all sorts, from working in fields and making cakes to carpentry and mechanics. Although he had a rough exterior, many people knew they could count on his generous heart to help in any need.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Aurora Lozano, sister Corina Lozano and brother Nieves Galvan.

 Joe Lozano Sr. is survived by his wife Angelita Lozano and children: Esmeralda Shriver, Chriselda Delgado, Joe Lozano Jr., Lee Ann Jimenez, Richard Lozano, and Jo Ann Lozano, 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings: Ofelia Lopez, Lydia Beltran, Elida Lozano, Jesus Manuel Lozano and Jesus Lozano Barrientes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

 Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday January 19, 2018 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
