I had known Ed since my arrival in Port Isabel, about 1988 through his activities at the American Legion Post. He was always so outgoing and welcoming to everyone he met. I also watched him fly the big 24s whenever the Confederate Air Force was performing. His stories of his experiences were always looked forward to. In his last years he helped me "campaign" once for the finance officer job at the Legion, as he maintained his involvement until the last few years. He will be missed in physical presence but memory of him will always be mine to keep. I am sure he is instructing new angels in how to manipulate their wings. May he rest in peace.
