Obituary of Deloris Jane Wood

Deloris Jane Wood passed away on October 6, 2017 in Angelcare Acres Nursing Home in Harlingen, Texas.  She was born in Warner, Oklahoma on August 1939 and was the only daughter of Jake and Katie Froess.  Deloris graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky majoring in Education.

Deloris was an elementary school teacher for the Los Fresnos school system for several years.  She met and married the love of her life, Robert Gordon Wood, whom she married in 1968.  They resided in Los Fresnos until he passed away in 2002.  Due to illness, Deloris resigned from her teaching position and eventually required full time nursing care.

Deloris is survived by one brother  and his wife, Alvin And Shirley Froess of Inola, Oklahoma; a loving sister-in-law, Dorothy Wood Morgan of Cedar Park, Texas; Gordon Morgan of Corpus Christi, Texas and Kenneth Morgan of Cedar Park, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
