Obituary of Francisco Javier Gonzalez

Francisco Javier “Frankie” Gonzalez, 47, of Port Isabel, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas.

Frankie is a 1988 Port  Isabel High School graduate. He received his Associate Degree in Drafting from ITT Technical Institute in Houston, Texas. He had an avid love for fishing and hunting and was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his mom; Palmira M. Gonzalez

Frankie is survived by his loving wife Amber Irene Gonzalez, father; Silvestre C. Gonzalez Jr., two sons; Hunter Christian Gonzalez and Cameron Michael Gonzalez, step daughter; Zoe Parrish, one sister; Maria Celeste (Rolando) Trevino, three brothers; Silvestre “Silver” Gonzalez III, Eric Gonzalez, and Jamie (Miriam) Gonzalez, one nephew; Kameryn T.Gonzalez, five nieces; Sabrina Gonzalez, Kayla Gonzalez, Neida Razo, Elyssia Razo, and Iliana Razo; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas and will continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel, Texas.

Mass of resurrection will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Elias Martinez, Roy Hanks, Arturo Zapata, Arnoldo Martinez, Rafael Salazar, Rene Mata and Rafael Salazar Jr.
