Obituary of Beneventura Gonzales

Beneventura Gonzales, 85, of San Benito, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 8, 2017.

Born in Round Rock Texas, Mrs. Gonzales was a devout Catholic who taught catechism at St. Benedict Catholic Church and assisted within the church community. She loved to cook and enjoyed knitting, sewing and telling stories about her past.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Cristel Gonzales, her son Cristel Gonzales Jr.; and her daughter Rosa Smith.

Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her children: Raymond (Estela) Gonzales, Jessie (Dionicia) Gonzales, Delores (Abel) Gomez, Sylvia De Los Santos and Julio Gonzales as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday September 15, 2017 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
