Obituary of Tomas Ramirez

Tomas Ramirez, 83, of San Benito, Texas, went to be with His Lord and Savior on Thursday, August 31, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

Tomas was a retired truck driver who enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and playing cards. He absolutely loved his grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francisca Ortiz. 

He is survived by his children, Frances (Shane) Thrailkill, Tomas (Chris) Ramirez, Fernando (Veronica) Ramirez and Maria Elena Ramirez, Juan Gabriel (Debbie) Ramirez and Juan Carlos (Mayra) Ramirez; one brother: Fernando Ramirez and one sister Maria Elena Ramirez. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Kaydence and Christopher Thrailkill, Michael and Fernando Ramirez, Elyse Joli and Eadrik Jai Yado, Lilly Luv, Lorenzo, Joey, Gabriel, Manny, Christina, Carlos and Jazmin Ramirez, Roberto and Fidel Gonzalez, Eralynn and Alexis Ramirez as well as on great granddaughter, Ali Casteneda.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St Theresa Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas
