Jose J. "Chuy" Villarreal, 70, of Los Fresnos/Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He is preceded in death by his two sons: Jose Jesus Villarreal II and Rafael Villarreal; his parents: Jesus and Francisca Barrera Villarreal; three brothers: Francisco Villarreal, Armando Villarreal, and Antonio Villarreal; and two sisters: Lydia Villarreal and Yolanda Villarreal. He is survived by his wife, Silvia G. Villarreal of Port Isabel, Texas; three daughters: Maria Elena Villarreal, Elizabeth Villarreal, and Rachel Villarreal; six sons: Jose Jesus Villarreal Jr., Jose Angel Villarreal, Mario Arturo Villarreal, Juan Villarreal, Efrain Villarreal, and Jose Jesus Villarreal III; several grandchildren; eight brothers: Alberto Villarreal, Santos Villarreal, Enrique Villarreal, Alfredo Villarreal, Felipe Villarreal, Luis Villarreal, Orlando Villarreal, and Mario Villarreal; three sisters: Maria Barrios, Diana B. Villarreal, and Dora Villarreal. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a holy rosary at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:00 am at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church located on 110 Port Road in Port Isabel.
