"Where Caring Makes The Difference"
Obituary of Rolando Canales Sr.
Rolando Canales Sr., 55, of San Benito, Texas, went into eternal rest on August 5, 2017.
Born June 15, 1962 to Arnulfo and Esther America Canales. Growing up in Edinburg, Texas, Rolando had a love for sports and animals. He played varsity football and basketball for Edinburg High Bobcats and participated in FFA raising pigs. He graduated high school in 1981 and attended Sul Ross State University to study architecture.
Rolando loved hard work and working with his hands. He was a gifted artist and craftsman. He was hard working until the end completing construction jobs and maintenance work for all Aaron's Rent-a-Centers across the Rio Grande Valley. His goal in life was to own his own construction company.
On his free time Rolando loved going to the beach and fishing. He also liked working on his wood work. He loved to cook and eat. He always wanted a reason to spark up the B-B-Q pit. He was the cook at many community service events and fundraisers.
But nothing shined more through him like his love for his family and his faith. He was a member of Cross Church and regularly attended Sunday services. He spent hours reading his bible everyday and loved to proclaim his love for God. His faith was never broken. Rolando adored his wife and children. He felt so honored the day he got the chance to become a Grandpa. Words can't explain the love he had for his children and grandchildren. He loved nothing more than to be surrounded by family.
Rolando Canales will be always be remembered as a kind hearted, hardworking, and loving man. He will live on forever in our hearts and through our memories.
