Obituary of Joaquina Hernandez
Joaquina Hernandez, 76, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in Harlingen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Cesario Hernandez III; and her parents, Telesforo and Gloria Leal Martinez.
Joaquina is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Cesario Hernandez; eight children: Sergio (Leonor) Hernandez Sr., Arturo (Chila) Hernandez, Gloria Hernandez, Sonia (Rogelio) Rodriguez, Alejandro Hernandez, Zulema (Miguel) Laines, Eloy (Norma) Hernandez, and Ana Maria (Domingo Quintanilla) Hernandez; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers: Sergio Hernandez Sr., Arturo Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez, Eloy Hernandez, Sergio Hernandez Jr., and David Hernandez.
