Obituary of Quirino Martinez Jr.
Quirino “Kitty” Martinez Jr., 60, left to be with the Lord on June 25, 2017 in Harlingen, Texas.
Kitty was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel, Texas and proudly served his community as a police officer for 13 years. Kitty was a great husband, father, grandfather, and a trusted friend. He was always fun to be around and would always make you laugh. He was always willing to help anyone anytime. His laugh was contagious and his attitude positive. Kitty will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him and will forever hold a place in our hearts, and as he would say, ‘How ‘bout them Cowboys”.
He is preceded in death by his father; Quirino Martinez Sr. and his brother Noe R. Martinez.
Left to cherish is memory is his loving wife of 18 years Veronica Martinez, his children; Quirino (Vanessa Perez) Martinez III, Misty (Quincy) Banks, Monika Graham, Michael Martinez, Sebastian Martinez, Karina Martinez, Alex Perez, Carolina (Nick) Le Blanc and Jose Perez; grandchildren; Bailey Le Blanc, Edgar Perez, Ariani Martinez, Skyler Banks and Mason Le Blanc as well as his mother Julia R. Martinez and sister Beatriz M. (Gualberto Sr.) Martinez.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers will be Quirino Martinez III, Michael Martinez, Sebastian Martinez, Alex Perez, Jose Perez, Nick Le Blanc, Quincy Banks and Noe Martinez Jr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 28, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M., at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday June 29, 2017 at Bridge Community Church located at 118 E Washington St. in Port Isabel, Texas. Cremation to follow in accordance with his wishes.
