Obituary of Gloria Longoria

Gloria Longoria entered into eternal rest on June 23rd, 2017 at the age of 65.

Gloria was born in Harlingen, Texas and resided in Florida before making her permanent home in Santa Rosa, Texas.  She graduated from Ridge Vocational Institute in Winter Haven, Florida and began her career with Harlingen State Bank in 1983. Gloria continued her career at Texas State Bank, San Benito CISD, and South Texas ISD until her retirement in 2012. Gloria's hobbies included arts and crafts and spending time with her family and friends. Her generosity, hospitality, and the love she had for her family will never be forgotten. She will be missed greatly.

 Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Josefina Longoria.

She is survived by her son Ricardo Guzman (Lisa Marie), her beloved grandchildren Alejandro Diego, Enrico Sebastian, and Karilynna Elisabeth, nine brothers and sisters, Aurora (Francisco) Hernandez, Ramiro (Herminia) Longoria, Aida (Daniel) Bernal, Martin (Dominga) Longoria, Diana (Chavelo) Macias, Agueda (Mace) Vallejo, Celia (Ruben) Reza, Guadalupe (Flavia) Longoria, Adan Omar (Herminia) Longoria, best friends Sylvia and Tony Garcia and Lydia Perez, along with numerous nephews and nieces. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.

A Chapel Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
