Obituary of Rolando Guzman
Rolando “Spook” Guzman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends after a brave battle with cancer.
Rolando was born on September 12, 1959 to Manuel Sr. and Jesusita Guzman in San Benito, Texas. He was 57 years old. Rolando will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who loved him and will cherish their memories with him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Belinda; and brother-in-law, Juan Sosa Sr.
He is survived by his siblings: Olivia (Juan+) Sosa, Manuel (Arminda) Guzman Jr., and Juan Antonio (Mary) Guzman. Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a holy rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
Honored to be serving as pallbearers are his nephews, Mark Anthony Guzman and David Guzman; his nephew-in-law, Ramiro Gaona III; and friends, Joe Hernandez, Jesus Torres, and Sokie Hernandez.
