Obituary of Rosie Buitureira

Rosie Buitureira, 53, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 in Brownsville, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Elena Buitureira.

Left to cherish her memory is her one daughter: Carolina Buitureira; grandson, Brandon Cantu; her father, Fulgencio “Gencho” Buitureira Sr.; four sisters: Ofelia (Juan) Avalos, Hopie (Freddy) Garza, Luisa (Zeke) Stelly, and Imelda (Joe Haliti) Vigil; four brothers: Fulgencio “Gencho” (Vicky) Buitureira, Jose Antonio (Leticia) Buitureira, Luis( Concepcion) Buitureira, and Rudy (Monica) Buitureira.  

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 P.M., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. In accordance to her wishes, cremation will follow.

Serving as pallbearers: Brandon Cantu, Danny Buitureira, Luis Buitureira, Gencho Buitureira, Jr., Anthony Buitureira, Rudy Buitureira, John “JJ” Garcia, and Freddy Garza IV.
