Lucinda S. Banda, 92, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 in Harlingen, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan M. Banda, Sr.; her parents: Herculano and Agustina Garcia Sanchez; four sisters: Genoveva Pena, Amelia Martinez, Guadalupe Salinas, and Esmerlinda Martinez; and one brother, Alfredo Sanchez.
She is survived by three daughters: Ramona (Joel) Trevino, Gloria B. (Celestino) Garcia, Rosalinda Banda; four sons: Juan (Lydia) Banda, Jr., Francisco (Enriqueta) Banda, Andres (Angie) Banda, Jose Vicente Banda; five sisters: Angela Banda, Bertha Martinez, Maria Elena Galvan, Celia Garcia, Ofelia Ramirez; two brothers: Felis Sanchez, Catarino Sanchez; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito Texas.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers: Justin Clemente Ramos, Kenneth James Garcia, Andres Banda, Juan Banda, Jr., Eric Banda, David Banda, and Joel Trevino. Honorary pallbearers will be Francisco Banda and Jose Banda.
