My husband and I were stationed with Derek in DG. He was truly a wonderful guy, full of energy and life. We made so many memories holding each other up during this time so far from our real homes. We send love and healing thoughts and prayers as you begin to process and journey through this stage.
The world has gone a bit dimmer. May he rest in peace knowing his family and friends loved him dearly.

I'm sorry for your loss. I served in the Navy with Derek during his time in Sugar Grove, WV. Derek definitely had a good heart, always wanted to be taking care of people, would volunteer his time to support our club projects. I remember him aso a Cowboys fan. Who loved to play football and ride his motorcycle even with his bun knees. I won't forget Derek and I was happy to have known him.
