Maria Del Rosario Peña, 65, entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, She was preceded in death by her mother, Juana Rodriguez. She is survived by her loving, husband of 49 years, Homero Peña; six children, Carmen (Pedro) Muñoz, Homero (Diana) Peña Jr., Eva (Mando) Carrillo, Rosario (Felipe Del Real) Peña, Cristina (Michael) Dematti and Diana Peña; 15 grandchildren, Pete Muñoz, Mark Muñoz, Kimberly Muñoz, Michael Muñoz, Vanessa Muñoz, Homero Peña III, Eduardo Peña, Hilario Ortiz Jr., Annissa Ortiz, Andres Ortiz, Armando Carrillo, Felipe Del Real Jr., Noah Del Real, Anna Rosario Dematti; Siblings, Carmen Alvarez Rodriguez, Ester (Salvador) Luna and Adan Venegas and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Templo El Salvador Church. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park.
