Linda was a great person. I worked with her and know she was a fighter, but just as any great fighter; they all fall infront of our creator. God has chossen her to stop fighting and relax. He now has given her the most wonderful gift, everlasting life. She will be there waiting for her loved ones, but she suffers no more and she is happy. Sorry are we the ones that she touched our hearts cus she is gone, but happy are the ones that understand why she had to leave. I am sorry for her family and especially for her kids. Know that you don't hurt alone. We all hurt differently. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! GOD BLESS US ALL. Jaime Santana Spec. 1, 2-10 Shift. Rio Grande State Center.

Linda may be gone in body, but her spirit will live on forever in our heart and in our memories. I will pray for her family that she left behind, to find comfort and peace in knowing that she is with our Lord. I know finding this is not easy. I will miss her dearly but I will always remember her strength and her smiling face. May God continue to give strength every day to the Diaz and Cervantes family.

To Linda and her Family, I have never met you but I felt I had to write to you. Your friend, Martha Aguilar, asked me to run in your honor when I run the Marine Corps Marathon in DC in October which I'm running for cancer awareness. I just want you to know that even though I never met you, you touched my life and you will be in my thoughts and prayers during my training and on race day. God bless you and your family.

We were able to meet Linda through softball when Gina played with our daughter last season on the Hurricanes team. Although we never spoke much, she was always very supportive of her daughter and always greeted us kindly. We will keep your family in our prayers so that God may place His comforting hands on you to guide you through these devastating hours. May God bless you. Philippians 1:19-27 My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. (v. 23)

First and foremost, know that you are in our hearts and prayers. Sorry that we could not be there with you. Linda was dedicated to her husband and children. She was someone whom we could always count on. She was a very giving person. She faced cancer head on and fought bravely until the end. Linda will be remembered as a fighter, never surrendering to her challenges. She taught us to keep a positive out-look in life. We will celebrate her life by remembering her as a loving and caring person. We will miss her very much.

It was always reassuring to me that everytime I saw Linda, she always had that huge smile on her face. I personally never saw her angry, and that just shows how great and compassionate she was as a person. It is unfortunate that I can't be there, but I send my best wishes to all the family and I hope, as we only can, that Linda is now in a better place.

Johnny, Jaime and I were so distraught to hear the news when Debbie called me to let me know about Linda. I hope you and your family are doing well, I know it's going to take a long time, maybe never, to try and adjust without Linda. She was so special and what I have in my heart is all those special memories of growing up across the street from the Cervantes family and I will treasure those forever. If there's anything we can do to help, just let us know and we will be more than glad to help. Linda fought a good fight with her breast cancer and she will always be in our hearts. Be strong, Johnny, for your kids, because they will need you now more than ever. I hope you continue them in baseball because we have learned that keeping kids active in sports helps them all through life and teaches them discipline. Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. The Martinez Family
