Patient, amazing, loving, loyal, caring . . . to use one word to describe his life would be unfair. Benito Garcia, left us too soon, only God knows His plans and we surrender to them. On January 8, 2017 Benito exhaled his last breath surrounded by his family and pastor in prayer and listening to Psalms. He was born August 22,1946 to Juanita and Arnulfo Benavidez (deceased) and was brother to Juan Saldana (deceased), Severiano Benavidez (deceased), Juan, Arnulfo, Santiago and Damian Benavidez and his sister Santos Benavidez. On October 13, 1971, he married the love of his life Elizabeth Garcia and had three daughters, Noemi Garcia, Elizabeth Hernandez (deceased) and Rosalva Hernandez. He leaves behind two sons-in-law, Cesar Sifuentes and Israel Hernandez, grandchildren and a great grandchild. Jesus Rocha Jr., Leonardo Rocha and Destanie Medrano, Yesenia and Noely Rocha along with Israel Jr., Benito Azael, Roel and Leonel Hernandez and finally Lillian and Marisol Hernandez his great grandchild Leonardo Rocha Jr., all which will carry him forever in their hearts. He also leaves his family which are many to mention from his side the Benavidez family from his wife’s side the Carrillo, Martinez, Amezcua, Garcia- Guizar families. Benito Garcia dedicated his life to his family, going to church (I.E.C.E.), helping others and working for the City of San Benito for 38 years. He will always be remembered as the gentle, smiling, quiet Benito. We loved you more than you could have imagined. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
