Beatrice C. Baquera, 93, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in Harlingen, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband: Julian Baquera; her parents: Marcelino and Remigia Colunga Claudio; and one sister, Guadalupe Rodriguez. Beatrice is survived by her two daughters: Susanna (Candelario) Maldonado and Ana Luisa Cortinas; Five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters: Angelina C. (Arturo J.) Rodriguez and Benita Montalvo; as well as several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
