Rio Hondo, Texas- Alfredo L. Torres, 64, was born on September 12, 1952. He entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Torres; and stepson, Jack Atkinson. He is survived by his wife, Ofelia Atkinson; his children: Vanessa (Enrique) Hernandez, Adriana and Alfredo Torres, Edith (Hugo) Garcia, stepchildren: Lisa (Rudy) Ortega, Dolly (Piris) Sandoval, Kristy (Raul) Camarillo; his mother, Berta Lara; sisters: Elvira Flores, Lula (Jose) Flores, Carlota, Sulema and Elvira Mascorro; brothers: Fernando and Servando Mascorro; grandchildren: Clarissa and Alexa Camarillo, Dustin and Jacob Sandoval, Logan and Brianna Atkinson, Maya and Jaylyn Hernandez, Alex, Elysa and Iris Garcia as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members who love him dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016 from 3 – 10 pm with a holy rosary at 7 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Anaquitas Cemetery in Rio Hondo, TX.
