Sofia G. Flores, age 88, died peacefully on November 5, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. Sofia was born on September 18, 1928 in San Benito, TX to Martin and Albina Guerra. Sofia is survived by her husband Deacon Benito Flores, Sr.; Sons, Placido Ramirez and wife Anita, Benito, Jr. and wife Angie, Armando and wife Irma, Arnulfo and wife Janie, Arnoldo, Albert and wife Isabel. She is also survived by her brothers Eulalio (Otilia), Fidel (Teresa), Guillermo (Alicia) and Juan (Flora), 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. The funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church followed by a Christian burial at Mont Meta Memorial Park – Mausoleum.
