Ana Maria Cantu, 85, of Laguna Vista, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in Brownsville, Texas.
She was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church In Port Isabel, Texas, and lifetime resident of Port Isabel. She was a shrimp header for the shrimping industry for many years in the Port Isabel area.
She was preceded in death by her Husband Frederico “El Fideo” Cantu. one sister; Maria Magdalena Mandujano.
Surviving is her daughter, Maria (Jaime Mandujano) Solis and two brothers, Jorge Mandujano and Ramon Mandujano.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home then continue from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church (705 S. Longoria St.) In Port Isabel, Texas.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Our Lady Star Of The Sea Catholic Church (705 S. Longoria St.) in Port Isabel Texas Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
