Luz Puentes Flores, 101, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in San Benito, Texas at her residence. A lifelong resident of San Benito, Luz was born on January 8, 1915 in Lantana, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Flores; and one daughter, Maria Flores Garza.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Margarita Marotto, Carlos (Yolanda) Flores, Reynaldo Flores, Elida (Ron) Huddleston, and Omar (Patsy) Flores. Also surviving her are 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at St. Theresa Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Benito City Cemetery in San Benito, Texas.
