Jeffrey Allan Lang, born June 13, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away at his residence in Port Isabel on August 2, 2016. Jeff and his family moved to Port Isabel as a young boy. He attended Port Isabel schools starting in the 7th grade and graduated in 1961. Jeff, a decorated Vietnam War Veteran, received three Purple Hearts during his tour of duty. He was a happy individual who always had a smile on his face. He retired from the Postal Service after 32 years as a dedicated employee. He enjoyed watching old western movies, football and baseball on television. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Thelma Lang and his wife Phyllis Gedders Lang. Jeff is survived by his long time partner Delia V. McClanahan and her children Frank, Johnny and Patrick Marchan and Sandra M. Garcia, his daughter Kathy Lang and brother Ronald Lang. Jeff’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday August 29, 2016 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
