Andres Fernandez Jr., 43, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016 at his residence. Andy was born July 5, 1973 in Los Fresnos, TX. and was a lifelong area resident. He worked as a pipe fitter and his lifetime goal was to open up his own business. Andy was currently enrolled in Brightwood College and was getting ready to graduate in a month with his degree to become a licensed electrician. Andy loved life and he loved his family. He would spend his afternoons riding horses and barbecuing with his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, Andres and Margarita Fernandez; 5 children, Samantha Fernandez, Nicole Fernandez, Andres Fernandez III, Abigail Fernandez and Andrew Jaiden Fernandez; siblings: Raul (Veronica) Fernandez, Carmen (Martin) Guerrero, Ceasar (Vera) Fernandez, Leticia (Chad) Deloach, Ana (Jose) Garcia and Evagelina Fernandez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Los Fresnos with burial to follow at Los Cuates Cemetery.
