Israel Moreno Garza, 66, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Harlingen, Texas. He loved his ranch, all his animals, and plants, but most of all he loved to have his family all together. He is preceded in death by his father, Braulio Garza; brothers: Hipolito Garza, Ruben M. Garza; son: Roel Torres; and granddaughter, Anyssa G. Gonzalez. Left to cherish his memories is his loving wife, Andrea Lerma; children: Melissa (Abel) Ramirez, Sherri (Gilberto) Gonzalez, Deborah (Robby) Lopez, Ray Montelongo, Vanessa (Tony) Morales, Cassandra Rae Garza, Yesenia (Roel) Garza, Yanet (Adrian) Garza, Jazmin (Arnulfo) Garcia, Jessica Garza, Israel Garza Jr., Victor Garza; and 20 grandchildren. Also surviving him is his mother, Juanita Garza; and siblings: Corina Garza, Genaro (Janie) Garza, Braulio (Sylvia) Garza Jr., and Fidel Garza. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. Vincent de Paul Mission Church. Interment will follow at Las Yescas Cemetery.
