Alfredo “Freddy” Barbola, 50, of San Benito, Texas, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas. He enjoyed life and loved caring for his family, friends, and kids. Freddy loved to read his newspaper every morning, especially The San Antonio Express. Always keeping up with his favorite teams, The Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs, he always made time for his family and especially attending bingo with this mother. He will be dearly missed and loved. He is preceded in death by his father Guadalupe Cabrerra; brother, Eddie William Barbola; and sister, Mary “Licha” Arevalos. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Maria C. Barbola; siblings: Ramon (Odette) Barbola, Mario (+Rosalva) Barbola, Frank (Rosemary) Barbola, Larry Barbola, William (Carmen) Barbola, Kenny (Cata) Diguirson, Eddie William (Debbie) Arevalos and Shannon (Juan) Garcia. He is also survived by numorus nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Thomae Garza Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Benedict Catholic Church with burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
