Eduarda Torres Garcia, 75, of Los Fresnos, Texas, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her residence. Mrs. Garcia had been a Jehovah’ s Witness for the past 40 years. She also retired as a cafeteria manager after 38 years working within the Los Fresnos CISD. Besides her responsibilities as a mother, she struggled through work and college and received her Master’s Degree in Business Management from Delta College in Michigan. She went beyond the call of duty and will always be the best mother, grandmother, and sister to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Garcia, Sr. She is survived by two sons, Francisco (Marlo) Garcia, Jr. and Alejandro Garcia; three daughters: Basilia Silva, Cecelia T. Garcia and Melissa G. (Ruben) Sanchez; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Esmeralda Fraga; and five brothers: Carlos Torres, Usvaldo Torres, Raul Torres, Jose Torres, and Martin Torres. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a discussion at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. A chapel service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow in accordance to her wishes.
