My Tio Joe, there are no words that I think of to put on here that will be the same as talking to you one last time. Lorena reminds me that now I can tell you any and everything. Like how much my dad, my brother, my family and I loved you ever so dearly. I regret letting a short 2.5 hour drive, distance me from you, especially when you needed us most. But you know that we loved you with all of our hearts. I wish we could have been there with you in your last hours, and as I type this with watery eyes I know that you are in a better place. My dad still cannot process the fact that you are gone and with our Father in Heaven. But I promise you that I will do my best to comfort him and be there for him like you were for him. For 51 years you all got to share that brotherhood. I never understood what my dad was telling me when I was younger, about being best friends with cook instead of fighting with him all the time. He would say we were supposed to be like "Me and Joe". Becoming a man I now know what he meant, and i have no idea what I would do if I lost cook. Please Tio, help my dad get through this. Be there with him when he needs you and when I cannot be. R.I.P. Jose, we will never forget you!!! <3
