Monica G. Lara, 36, of San Benito, Texas, entered into Heaven on Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Monica was truly the cornerstone of her family; she was an anchor in the fiercest of storms, a matriarch in every sense of the word, able to carry out any task set before her without even asking “Why me?” or “Do I have to?” She will be dearly missed and always loved. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Concepcion Gallegos; and grandfather, Eduardo Martinez. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Jorge Lara; three sons: Christopher, Aaron, and Christian; her parents, Reyes and Guillermina Gallegos; three sisters: Erika, Corina, and Karina Gallegos; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as two goddaughters; and numerous relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Cremation will follow in accordance with her wishes. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Templo Eben-Ezer Asambleas De Dios, 996 Turner St in San Benito, Texas, with Pastor Rev Dora S.
