San Benito,TX- Olivia Sanchez Garza, 85, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2016 in Harlingen surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 21, 1931 in Robstown, TX and later residing in San Benito, Olivia loved to help people in need and was a community volunteer. She will be dearly missed . Oliva is preceded in death by her parents Jose Maria and Tomasa Martinez Sanchez. Her sibilings; Margarita Sanchez Reeder, Maria Lourdes Sanchez, Jose Maria Sanchez Jr., Apolinar Sanchez and Antonio Sanchez. Left to cherish her memory are her three children Ernesto Jimenez, Olivia Jimenez and Evangelina “Eve” Hernandez. Also surviving Olivia are her grandchildren Yvette Denise Hernandez (Oscar Rene) Garcia, Francisco (Elizabeth Ann) Hernandez III and great grandchildren Layla Eve Hernandez, Miranda Ava Hernandez Garcia, Francisco Hernandez IV and Alexis Mariah Hernandez. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Chapel services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Thomae Garza Funeral Directors with burial to follow at La Paloma Cemetery in San Benito.
