San Benito- Jose Nerio Lucio, 91, of San Benito, Texas entered the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Harlingen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by his eldest son Mariano Lucio (2006) and wife Manuela P. Lucio (2009). Jose is survived by his children, Juana Banuelos, Francisco Lucio, Pedro (Francis) Lucio, Jeronimo Lucio, Mary Lucio, Guadalupe (Lupita) Lucio, Juanita (Richard) Campos, Pablo Lucio, Concepcion Lucio, Petra (Ben) Price, Ramona (David) Short and Cirilo (Nina) Pinon, along with 31 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren , 1 great-great grandchild and sister-in-law Aurora Lucio. Visitations will be held today, Monday, January 10, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM and Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito. Interment will follow to Mont Meta Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Tito Bocanegra IV, Mario Jose Lucio, Lucas McCain Vela, Rene Vela, Marcos Morin and Nephtalie Lucio Campos.
