I remember how much fun our Mother "Midge" had with all of her Red Hat ladies. So when I noticed her page offered a Red Hat for a kind gesture to post, I made sure I picked this special one. She told me so many stories of all the outings where they would go together. She had so many great memories of those outings and get togethers. I know Mom is missed by all of them and I would like to thank each and everyone for sharing your lives with her. Thank you for the beautiful flowers and most of all the big RED HAT that adorned the bouquet. My brother Mark saved this for me and I am going to frame it for all to see in my home in California where Mom would come visit me and her two grandsons Caleb (27) and Austin (21). Thank you again ladies for being such a special part of her life....Devon (middle daughter..#4)

There are so many words that I can find right now to to tell how special my mother was and how much I miss her and how much she will be missed by all the lives she touched. She was such a positive blessing to all that knew her. I have never known anyone in my life more deserving of such a special place in heaven.
I feel like the most special person on earth having this angel here in my life, loving her and having her love me, caring for her and having her care for me all my life.... and most of all her telling me how blessed she was with me and in return myself knowing how blessed I was having her.
Now an angel in heaven...once again....in her true fashion...watching over me and my beautiful sons.... her dear grandsons Caleb and Austin that were her pride and joy.
I also feel so blessed to have my wonderful brothers and sisters in my life that she gave me Betsy, Doug, Mark and Diane....and one of the most special is my brother Mark that I thank and cherish so much for caring for her in Padre so calmly, dignified, sincerely and most of all unconditionally. Along with his wife Angie (my wonderful sister-in-law) that was there through thick and thin many times with the same grace and compassion.
We will always remember "Momma Midge"....as Dad would say "Midget"!!!
A SMILE IS THE LIGHT IN YOUR WINDOW THAT TELLS OTHERS THAT THERE IS A CARING ,SHARING PERSON INSIDE.
I love you mommie and I miss you so much and I got your message the other day...Jeremiah 29.11 "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord"
Devon Leigh... (your forever wanderer and seeker...your Columbus mom)

Nini,
I am so proud of the amazing person you are and the beautiful life you lived. You will be truly missed by your grandson and everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of your life. You were such an amazing person and I can only hope that I have the same success in impacting peoples lifes in such a positive way as you did. I am so lucky to have another amazing guardian angel watching over myself and our family for the rest of our lifes. I know there were so many special people waiting for you to be a part of such a beautiful place and to watch over us. We will always be thinking about you and the amazing grandmother you are. We love you so much and you will be truly missed.

I am very sad to hear about your mom. She was such a fundamental part of my growing up.Devon and I were best friends from 5 years old. The memories of PB and Js in you home at Hidden Hill, watching the garden grow with such wonderful things to eat, our dogs, horses and riding around with Byron on that golf cart in. I remember bringing a gift from a boy we met at the creek by the Jack in the Box when we were in town, to your house. He had given me a pickle bucket of garder snakes. You mom was not so sure about it all but let me keep them outside in the bucket until my mom came and got me the next day. Midge was a trooper even in the face of a bucket with snakes. So many more memories keep jumping up. Your mom was supportive with me being me, not the easiest thing ever. She was loving and generous of Devon and I in a most wonderful way. She was a shining star in my life. I am living in South East Asia at this time and will not be able to come celebrate with you. I will find some quiet beautiful places ans bring her there with me. Love Judy

We were blessed to be neighbors for many years. Midge was like a second mom to most of the kids in the neighborhood. She was always ready with a quick hug, gentle smile and after school snacks. I hope I can influence the children in my neighborhood like she influenced me. She was very special lady.
