Corpus Christi/Port Isabel, TX- Miguel Avila Delgadillo, 73, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 in Corpus Christi, TX. Miguel was born on September 21, 1942 to the late Jesus and Pilar A. Delgadillo Sr. He joined the United States Airforce serving our country for 35 years. A loving father, brother, uncle and grandfather he enjoyed fishing so much with his friends and his brother Juan and watching boxing events. His pride and joy were his son and daughters whom he loved very much. He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Pilar A. Delgadillo Sr.; two brothers, Jose Luis Delgadillo and Jesus Delgadillo Jr.; one sister, Margarita Sanchez; sister-in-law, Esmerlinda Delgadillo, brothers-in-law Cruz Hernandez and Edward Sanchez; and the mother of his children, Concepcion Delgadillo. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Miguel Delgadillo Jr., Barbara Delgadillo, and Rachel (Rob) Lee; and his grandchildren, Drake Lee and Sydney Delgadillo. Also surviving him are his two brothers, Juan Delgadillo and Alfredo Delgadillo; and five sisters: Rosa (Mauricio) Sanchez of Corpus Christi, Maria (Daniel) Vega of Houston, Janie (Peter) Gonzalez, Lupita (Cruz+) Hernandez, Carmen (Ray) Rios, sister in law, Estefana (Jose+) Delgadillo, and Antonia (Jesus+) Delgadillo. He also leaves behind two special friends, David and Digna Aragon; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends from Corpus Christi, Tx. Cremation will follow in accordance with his wishes and a private burial will be held with Military Honors conducted at the graveside by V.F.W. Post 2035 of Brownsville, Texas.
