Jose Luis Guevara, 44, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Brownsville, Texas.
Jose was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel. He was a cook at Blackbeard’s and Amberjacks Restaurant. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Oralia Guevara; one sister, Teresa Guevara; and maternal grandmother, Olivia E. Guevara.
Surviving him is his wife, Esmeralda Silva; two sons, Jose Luis Guevara, Jr. and Angel Lee Guevara; one stepson Michael Silva, Jr.; one stepdaughter, Monique Silva; one sister, Beatrice (Nicolas) Guevara Cortez; and two brothers, Gilbert (Sara) Guevara and Andrew Guevara.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a chapel service at 7:00 p.m., at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Cremation will follow in accordance to his wishes.
