Edmundo J. (El Cuate) De La Garza, 79, went to meet our savior on Sunday, February 7, 2016 in San Benito, Texas.
He is a lifelong resident of San Benito, Texas. Born on November 27, 1936. He served his country by joining the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Amelia De La Garza; siblings: Manuel, Mariana, Rodolfo, Gilberto, Angelina and Salvador; grandchildren: Javier Carlos and Monica De Leon; his wife, mother of his children, Ana De La Garza and son in law, Rufino Moreno.
Edmundo is survived by his companion, Juanita De La Garza; children, Rosa Maria (William) Rahmlow, Sylvia Moreno and Sandra (Julie) De La Garza; grandchildren: Angelica (Augustin) Gutierrez, Omar De Leon, Jason (Minerva) and Armando De La Garza, his great grandchildren: Xzavier and Anthony Gutierrez and his many nieces and nephews
Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 11, 2016 from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Thomae Garza Funeral Home.
