I will always remember Tia Queta's sweet smile, precious laugh, and her unique gift for making each person feel like the most special person by giving her undivided attention to you and sharing kind and encouraging words for any specific situation. Manzano Family,
I would like to pass along my condolences on your loss. While I only met Mrs. Manzano a few times, my immediate perception was always that she was a genuinely welcoming and kind person.
I remember an occasion when she and Mr. Manzano visited Ernesto while we were renting a house in Pearland. It was the first year teaching for both of us and, like all first year teachers, we were both feeling the stress. Even though the purpose of the visit was, of course, to spend time with Ernesto and Amber, Mrs. Manzano treated me as if I was part of the visit as well. She cooked us all a great meal of enchiladas and asked me questions about my work and family. (She always asked about what was going on in my life with real interest.) It was a small gesture, but it is those kinds of small things that can tell you about the character of another person.
I hope the difficult days ahead are made more peaceful by the memories you have of her.
