San Benito - Andres Rodarte, 68, of San Benito passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen. Mr. Rodarte is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Atkinson; son, Andres Rodarte, Jr.; and his parents, Carlos R. and Belen Tamayo Rodarte. Andres is survived by his wife, Catalina Rodarte; 2 daughters, Rosalinda (Alex) Vidal; and Blanca Rodarte; 3 grandchildren, Hugo Herrera, Alecio Garcia, and Andres Antonio Garcia; 2 brothers, Eduardo Rodarte and Carlos Rodarte; 1 sister, Magdalena Wilhite; 2 sister in laws, Mary Francisca Nemoto and Elodia Rodriguez; a brother in law, Juan Rodriguez. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, July 16, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home. Mr. Rodarte served in United States Navy, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. He was Honorably Discharged and was a member of the VFW Post 2410 and American Legion 205.
