Port Isabel, TX - Luz Maria Dominguez, 79, of Port Isabel, TX passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence in Port Isabel, TX. Luz was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel, TX and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. She was a member of Guadalupana for the Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Adan Dominguez; a son, Gilberto "Givi Jones" Dominguez; her parents, Angel and Maria Cazares Rosales; brothers, Gilberto Rosales and Ricardo Rosales. She is survived by her loving sons, Jose Angel (Maria de Jesus) Dominguez of Laguna Heights, TX, Enrique Rosales (Veronica) Dominguez of Los Fresnos, TX, and Saul Gabriel (Nazaria) Dominguez of Port Isabel, TX; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Aida Ponce of Monterey, MX; and three brothers, Jesus Rosales of Port Isabel, TX, Armando Rosales of Monterey, MX, and Guadalupe Rosales of Monterey, MX. Visitations will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM at Thomae- Garza Funeral Home and visitation will continue at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Port Isabel City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Adan Dominguez, Henry Dominguez, Daniel Dominguez, Miguel Angel Dominguez, Saul Dominguez, and Jose I. Rosales.
