San Benito, TX- Rita Delgado, 91, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2011 at Atrium Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in San Benito, TX.
She was born on May 22, 1920 in Rio Hondo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Telesforo Delgado; her son, Ramon C. Delgado; her parents, Guadalupe and Gertrudes Garcia Cerda; and five sisters.
She is survived by five sons: Telesforo (Lupe) Delgado, Jr., Pedro Delgado, Jose Delgado, Adolfo Delgado, and Alfredo (Isabel) Delgado; two daughters, Dominga (Juan) Chavez and Ana Maria (Victor) Ortega; She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX.
A chapel service will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at 12:00 pm at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Benito City Cemetery.
