Jesus Delgadillo, Jr, 63, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on August 27, 2015 in Harlingen, Texas. Chuy was a man with an amazing personality and made the best of any situation. He served in the US Army for four years, stationed in Germany and worked with the Point Isabel School District for 14 years. Jesus was full of life and always had a smile on his face. He loved his family very much and will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Rubio Delgadillo, Sr and Pilar Avila Delgadillo; brother, Jose Delgadillo; and sister, Margarita D. Sanchez. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 14 years, Antonia Rodriguez Delgadillo; his children: Jesus (Linda) Delgadillo III, Rogelio Delgadillo, Antonio (Ivonne) Delgadillo, and Jessica Rose Delgadillo; siblings: Miguel Delgadillo, Juan Delgadillo, Alfredo Delgadillo, Rosa (Mauricio) Sanchez, Christina (Daniel) Vega, Janie (Peter) Gonzalez, Lupita Hernandez, and Carmen (Ray) Rios; two grandchildren, Andrew and Vanessa Delgadillo; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas. Visitation will continue from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with a holy rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel, Texas. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at graveside by VFW Post 2035 of Brownsville, Texas. Serving as pallbearers: Antonio Delgadillo, Andy Delgadillo, Juanito Delgadillo, Juanito Delgadillo III, Abel Delgadillo, Dante Delgadillo, Luis Rios, and Pedro Delgadillo; and honorary pallbearer Jesus Delgadillo III.
