Reyes Lopez Troncoso, 73, of Port Isabel, Texas, passed away on August 26, 2015 in Brownsville, Texas. He was a longtime resident of Port Isabel and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. He worked at Zimco Marine as a welder for 20 years and was the owner and Captain of a bay boat named Carmen for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliseo and Sofia Lopez Troncoso; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Bernardina M. Troncoso; one son, Reyes Troncoso, Jr.; three daughters: Norma (Joe) Vela, Maria Del Carmen Troncoso, and Dora Ann Troncoso-Martinez; five grandchildren: Natalia Cole Vela, Joe G. Vela, Jr., Brandon Troncoso, Joshua Lance Osornio, and Dominic Martinez; three great-grandchildren: Talitha Victoria Troncoso, Annali Cavazos, and Ezekiel Josiah Valdes; two brothers, Andres Troncoso and Manuel Delgado; and two sisters, Rosa Baldonado and Elena Rodriguez. Viewing will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a holy rosary as 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St in Port Isabel, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Port Isabel City Cemetery.
