Zaida Guadalupe Rodríguez, age 69, of Los Fresnos, Texas was born on February 28, 1946 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. She left this world to be with the Lord on Monday, August 24, 2015 after a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother of three, and grandmother of five and served as a Co-Pastor to the flock at Misión El Buen Pastor Church for over twenty years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Aureliano Garza and María Tudón, her adoptive parents, Manuel Pizaña and María Estela Pizaña, and her brother Gilberto Pizaña. Surviving are her loving husband Daniel Rodríguez, her children, Diana Rodríguez (Henry Rodríguez), Sandra Rodríguez, and David Rodríguez (Kathryn Strickland) and her grandchildren, Henry N. Rodríguez, Daniel N. Rodríguez, Jennifer Rodríguez, Zaida I. Deimes, and Elizabeth Rodríguez. Also surviving are her siblings, María Luisa Valdez, Pedro Garza, Margarita Guerra, Alma Rosa Echartea and Marco A. Pizaña. Viewing hours on Thursday, August 27th from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, Texas.
