San Benito, TX- Everardo Mata Quintero, 55, passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Genoveva Quintero. He is survived by his wife, Sinforiana Olvera; his children: Kasandra Quintero, Everardo Quintero Jr., Yadira Ruiz, and Judith Ann Quintero; two grandchildren, Carlos and Cristian Ruiz; his step-children: Luis, David, and Edward Hernandez; his brothers: Humberto Quintero, Esteban Quintero, Rogelio Quintero, Rene Quintero, and Juan Quintero; and his sisters: Yolanda Rivas, Graciela Gamez, Ludivina Alvarez, and Rebecca Escobedo. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito, TX. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 10:00 am at El Templo Salvador located on 1605 S. Sam Houston in San Benito.
