Laguna Vista, TX - Marisol Elena Rodriguez, 42, of Laguna Vista, TX passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
Marisol was a lifetime resident of Port Isabel, TX and a graduate from Port Isabel High School in 1987. She was a beauty advisor for Walgreens for the past three years. She was also a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea and an avid supporter of National Breast Cancer Foundation. She was a devoted and loving mother and so loved and respected by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Luis E. Rodriguez Jr. of Laguna Vista, TX; sons, Luis E. Rodriguez III, Ricardo Rodriguez, Marc Anthony Rodriguez, all of Laguna Vista, TX.; mother and stepfather , Maria Elena and Rolando Rodriguez of Port Isabel, TX; father and stepmother, Adler Hamlin and Carmen Bush of Brownsville, TX; brother, Adler (Norma Angelica) Bush Jr. of Brownsville, TX.; sister, Marisa (Gerardo) Rosalez of Lompoc, CA.; father and mother in law, Luis and Sylvia Irma Rodriguez Sr. of Port Isabel, TX; step brothers, Melvin Bush and Julius Bush.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM at Thomae- Garza Funeral Home and visitation will continue at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 S. Longoria St. in Port Isabel from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary recited at 7:00 PM.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Cremation will follow services in accordance with her wishes.
Pallbearers will be Luis Enrique Rodriguez III, Ricardo Rodriguez, Adler Bush Jr., Gerardo Rosalez, Martin Infante, and Sammy Infante.
In Lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made in memory of Marisol E. Rodriguez to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX 75034.
