Esperanza A. Lugo, 87, of San Benito, TX, entered into Eternal Rest on Friday, October 07, 2011 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Lugo, Jr. ; her mother, Manuela Galvez Atkinson; and her father, Rogelio Atkinson; three brothers: Guadalupe Atkinson, Antonio Atkinson, and Juan Atkinson; and one sister, Elena Atkinson.
She is survived by her three children: Gracie L. (Wenceslao) Guzman, Gabriel A. (Vicki) Lugo, and Eloy (Dina) Lugo; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2011, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM, at Thomae-Garza Funeral Home in San Benito.
Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in San Benito. Committal service will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
