Dear Barragan Castaneda Family,
I can only offer my deepest sympathies to you during this time. Every time I saw the mischievous sparkle in his eyes accompanied by his bright smile, I had the highest hopes for the future of Nahum. My heart has broken over the loss of this young man.

The Lord Almighty has received another angel. The town of Port Isabel is sad to receive this news. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten. He touched the students' lives, at PIJH, in more ways than anyone will ever know. He always be a part of this school and this awesome town. We have him and his family and friends in our thoughts and prayers. His spirit will live on forever.

Dear Barragan Castaneda Family,
Words cannot express the sorrow and pain we feel for the loss of your son Nahum.
I imagine there is no pain more far-reaching and deeper than losing a child. My heart and prayers go out to you at this most difficult time.
My words are not adequate to express the sorrow I feel for your loss. Your son was an inspiration to everyone around him. I am so blessed and lucky to have known his beauty, and I will keep his spirit alive with the many sacred memories I hold close to my heart.
I feel as though I am the blessed one to have been graced by your son's big heart and his inviting personality. It is truly the mark of a wonderful family. Every bit of my heart goes out to you during this most difficult time.
I am truly sorry for your loss. The loss of a child is heartbreaking. My heart aches for you and your family. Nahum was a wonderful child and we will miss him terribly.

Dear Family, it is with a heavy heart that I write these words to you. I taught Nahum this year for reading and writing and he was one of my favored students. When he told me he was going to move to Port Isabel, I told him I was going to keep him and lock him in my closet. I hated to see him leave us. He was so respectful toward me, and he knew how much I cared and only wanted the best for him. I am devastated and I cannot believe that he is gone, but right now he is celebrating with our Father and Jesus Christ in heaven, and we are feeling his loss.
