Kay Louise Falgout passed away on April 20 2015. She was born in Fowler, Indiana on September 5 ,1936 to Kenneth and Orvilla Callaway. Kay was preceded in death by her parents; and grandsons, Robert Rene Falgout and William Lopez. Kay moved to Brownsville, Texas with her parents and brother, Fred (Joan) Callaway, as a teenager and following her graduation from Brownsville High School in 1954, married her high school sweetheart, Harris "Buddy" Falgout. Kay and Buddy lived in Brownsville for 26 years and had three children, Harris "Buzzy" Falgout and Fran (Joe) Garza of Corpus Christi, and Jake Falgout of South Padre Island, Texas. In 1980, Kay and Buddy moved to South Padre Island and in 1996 moved to Thibodeau, Louisiana. Into 2007, Kay and Buddy moved to Corpus Christi to be close to their children, eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 705 South Longoria Street in Port Isabel. In lieu of customary remembrances, a gift may be made in her memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
