Rosalinda (Nana) Huerta, 64, of San Benito, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Rosalinda retired from Levi's after 33 years and devoted her time as a parent volunteer for SBCISD as well as the Special Olympics. She enjoyed playing softball, gardening, and loved her Tejano music. She is preceded in death by her parents: Victoriano and Concepcion Huerta; brother, Jose Huerta; and sister in law, Lydia S. Huerta. Rosalinda is survived by her brothers and sisters: Victor (Canie) Huerta, Carmen (Dionicio) Gonzalez, San Juanita (Baldemar) Aguirre, Maria Alicia (Andres) Escalante, Juan (Lydia+) Huerta; 14 nieces and nephews: Tory & Jennie, Adrian, J.J., Monica, Norma, Dionicio & Becky, Lydia & Ricky, Balde Jr. & Emily, Abel & Savannah, Veronica & Tony, Maria Lydia, Juan Felipe, Krystal & Oziel, and Andi Marie; and 15 great nieces and nephews: Ricky Jr., Roel, Ryan, Raelyn, Klarissa, Odalys, Omar, Giovani, Gizelle, Antonio Rey, Alexa, Annabeth, Danica, Sadie, and Michael Lane. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 and Wednesday, April 8, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a holy rosary at 7:00 p.m. on both nights, at Thomae Garza Funeral Home in San Benito. Funeral mass was held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment followed at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito.
